The year of Taylor

Whether you’re Taylor Swift’s biggest fan or not, it’s hard to deny that she ruled the music industry in 2009. With her four Grammys, six AMAs, five Country Music Awards, and multiple other awards for associations I’ve never heard of, it’s obvious that America loves this girl.

Hollywood also loves Taylor! After Kanye West took the mic from Swift at the VMAs, celebrities rallied around Swift, especially via Twitter. Joel Madden tweeted “WOW Taylor Swift’s first VMA and she didn’t even get to ENJOY it. Kanye You were just a bully on that one man,” and Spencer tweeted “Let’s be very clear King Spencer would never do anything like what Kayne just did to a sweet soul like Taylor!”

Swift even managed to snag Taylor Lautner (Taylor squared), who stars in New Moon and grabs the hearts of all tween girls in America, and maybe even across the world. Swift co-stars with Lautner in the film Valentine’s Day, which will be released on February 21.

But, what will 2010 bring for young Taylor? Will it be as sweet and award-filled as 2009? At the prime age of 20, I doubt Taylor’s career will die down anytime soon, but how does America feel about her? Is anyone getting tired of her? I’m not yet…I love her new single “Today Was a Fairytale”.

Questions and comments are welcome! Viva la Taylor!
